Our holiday this year is one which centres around a large lake. Yesterday we decided to go on a little adventure and hired a couple of canoes. 3 hours later after exploring the water ways we came back very tired and one of us was very sunburnt.
The are of treasure lake is 11 square miles most of which has trees and wildlife. Apart from the square mile of lake at the heart of the community. The various waterfront properties range in size between large and vast, most with their own dock and easy access to the water.
We paddled around fairly leisurely and even stopped off to change ends of the boat. No on fell in, which was a bonus although Lib was a rebel and took off her life jacket for a while.
Following our time out on the water it was time to head back and I noticed that I had sunburn. Yes it's my fault and yes it does hurt still, almost 24 hours later.
All in all, the community of Treasure Lake is wonderful and a nature lovers dream. Deer in the garden, squirrels - black, gray and ground, we even got to see a buzzard as a deer decided to die 30 feet from the property.
